MSXDev '10 - Mission2Mir announced

With about 3 months to go, and the first 3 entries completed, more and more MSX developers reveal that they have been working on an entry to MSXDev - the popular annual MSX game development competition. Today, the Dutch MSX user ray2day has announced his project Mission2Mir. The game is scheduled to be released during the upcoming meeting of MSX Vriendenclub Mariënberg, which is to be held on November 13th. Until then, all that is revealed about the game is the fact that it's a shoot-'em-up.

Mission2Mir, an underwater push-em-up where the antagonists are Mir pieces that turned evil due to corrosion and leftover radiation while resting on the ocean floor. The boss Mir piece, an intact Sony MSX2, has control over the others, using its powerful Z80. You are ray2day, the only man on earth with an MSX tattoo, making the Mir pieces believe that you are affiliated with their boss. A magic spiderweb on your arm allows you to breathe underwater, and it increases pushing power (your main weapon). It is your destiny to save mankind and destroy the Sony MSX2, in the final mission to Mir!
