The game Galaxian by Namco was released in 1979 on arcade machines in Japan and saw the light of day one year later in arcade halls across North America. A Colecovision version was finally made in 1983 and an MSX version followed one year later. The MSX port was, once again, a slightly tuned-down version of the game where some elements such as a 2 player mode and difficulty settings were not included. Recently, MSX user GDX ported the Colecovision version of the game to MSX in order to get a more complete version of the game including the aforementioned 2 player mode and difficulty settings. The conversion is based on the Mission Colecovision emulator for MSX and features some nice improvements such as improved support for keyboard and joysticks. Also, a turbo mode is available for Turbo-R and some MSX2+ machines.

Thumbs up! Excellent conversion of an excellent port or an excellent arcade game. Did I forget to mention that these are excellent news for all MSXers? Wink

Nice; but is it 100% ported?, it lacks some sounds like the shooting or explosion SFX, also the speed is not as fast as the original (at least not in a TR).

Wow... this shows how good the  MSX version could have been... The MSX version graphics are simply awful compared to Coleco's! Seems they did a cheap write from scratch... they should have used the Coleco version!

@jtursan: isn't that a problem of Mission? These things are mentioned in the manual of Mission, as the emulator works by patching the OS ROM, and not all titles work flawless.
