MSXdev '08 #4 - I Need Speed | MSX Resource Center

The fourth finished entry for MSXdev'08 is called I Need Speed: a top-view racing game. This game has been developed by CEZ GS (Computer EmuZone Game Studio). The game comes as a 48KB ROM, 16KB RAM is required, though 32KB RAM is recommended. Manual and sticker are available as well. Have fun speeding your way through this game!

Nice game. Can't help to spit out some comments:

Pros:
- it's very fast
- two player mode
- large graphics
- nice extras

Cons:
- control is not very easy (playability)
- large graphics gives you not very good overview (playability), you need the overview map to see in time that a curve is coming
- only few enemy cars

I can't help to compare with F-1 Spirit a bit, of course ;-)
