Exactly one month after its creation, BiFi, a Dutch MSX and Z80 guru, updated his R-Type Improvement Addition. On request, he kindly added 50/60Hz selection, and a Turbo feature for MSX computers that disobey ASCII's speed limit of 3.58MHz. The update can be obtained from BiFi's website, in the Downloads section, under Bugfixes.

Is there really such a limit on MSX2+ and MSX Turbo-R specifications?

I know that was part of the MSX1 and MSX2 specifications, but AFAIK that requirement was dropped since the MSX2+. That's why the V9958 had the WAIT signal implemented.
