Soft for Moonsound

Hello,

Recently I have re-acquire (things that happen XD) Moonsound again. I would like to please help me to know that games and demos are using Moonsound there loose melodies to carry the replayer.

Links for free download (freeware) and payment.

I would also like to know how I can know that my memory has Moonsound, as is expandable up to (where to buy memory and who knows how) and whether it was worth.

Moonblasters for the Moonsound, these will report, during boot, how much mem you have. It can be expanded (at least 640KB is an advice from my side, though technically more=more). You may be able to expand it yourself if you are king of the soldering iron and you know your tech., if not, sunrise usually deals with these expansions.

As for demos: try Infinite's Snofall, Coral 2, Sphere, News2004 and Wings, by yours truly (Sphere and Wings are high spec though). Also, the MRC downloads section contains some Moonsound songs. As for games, TeamBomba's Bombaman has Moonsound music.

no need to solder for expanding moonsound.
You need a 512kbx8 SRAM chip.
When you open the moonsound , unscrew , then you have sockets for sram chips and jumpers to set the new size.
example of 512kbx8 sram chip in france 5,5 euros :

look for reference : 628512 , 4Mbits

ther are 2 socket you can have
one 128bkyte chip
one 128bkyte chip +512kbchip = 640kb
two 512kb chip = 1024kb
two 128kb chips = 256kb

If he has a v1-moonsound he may have to piggyback the extra RAM however.

I load MBM and he say, available ram 400k, have a chip in the first bank from Sony with this reference; CXK581000AP-10LL
512B16V S

I supose have 512kb.

Moonsound is version 2. 0.

Is there an manual how to add RAM on your moonsound (V1) .. i have the V1 version and i would like to expand this...

maybe you forgot the jumper?if you put in 512kb mbwave would see that like 512 and not 400k

After years of lurking on the bottom, Google joined the forum when we migrated to a new server. If you don' t like google, you can make him go invisible in your account settings.
