MSXRio 2009

The MSXRio user group invites everyone to visit MSXRio 2009, their annual meeting of MSX users living in or around Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). This this year, they decided to have several smaller gatherings rather than a big meeting. The first one will be next Saturday, July 25, 2009. The location for this event: SESC Engenho de Dentro: Avenida Amaro Cavalcanti, 1661 - Engenho de Dentro. This is near the train station and the João Havelange Olympic Stadium, the popular "Engenhão". The place is open from 10:00 - 17:30. More information about MSXRio 2009 can be found on the (under construction website.

I'm pretty sure taking a BUS in the Netherlands is fine, safe and pleasant, but...

Besides a very high risk of being ROBBED, RAPED AND MAYBE KILLED, take a look at this:

Don´t worry. Buses in Rio de Janeiro are that crowded only at rush hour. And just remember that MSXRio will be on a Saturday.

Wow, are all these people going to the party? Quite impressive, I never had any problems taking the bus to a European MSX party (Well I should say that the bus from the airport to the MSX Info Update party in Helsinki was pretty crowded but I think most people were going to the C64 party)

Nautilus: Where are you on RJ? Are you from South ("Zona Sul")? If so, send me an email... I *may* be going, but still have to do some stuff on my PC game and a report to the government about it before I know if I'll have the time; but for sure on Friday I'll know if I can go or not.

But do notice: if I go, I'll stay from beginning to the end... so take that into account if you don't want to stay all day

And as usual, if I manage to go, I'll show some new games there

@Nautilus: Bau de Jogos is working a transportation to take you to the fair. German vehicle with air conditioning and perfect dolby sound surround. Drinks will be available during the trip and you'll be able to play Metal Gear on the embedded Ps3.
Real transportation for real men.
