I think Galf Streem by Xain has a very hard protection on disk one (maybe also the other disks), as the dumps available on the net are generally very bad.
Too bad I don't have that disk. If someone does, he can help to test it... just contact me.
Anything else?
There was a Dutch video utility for NMS8280 with a very hard protection, but I don't remember the name.
Maybe Superimpose & Video version 1 by Oasis ....
In the "golden era", I developed together with a friend many routines to copy and to protect disks, using special formatting and manipulating crc errors and sector sizes.
Days ago, I started reading my codes, so I can make a way to generate some image from the protected disks.
I will read more about DMK format to adapt my routines.
Happily 90% of brazilian disk drive interfaces are WD2793 based
mars: if you mean Demo Kit and Picture Kit by NewVision Benelux, I already tried them. They gave quite some problems indeed, but they can be dumped and run now. I'll also try TurboWipe and VideoBench, but I think they have the same protection scheme.
mister.phr0zen: why would you adapt your routines? If you have disks with the routines applied, they can be dumped and run in openMSX...
Currently the dumping tool only runs on Philips-type WD2793 FDC's with double sided drives. This means Philips and Sony MSX models only. Sharp-Epcom HB-3600 may also work, but it's 5.25", and we've never tested that.
If useful, Wouter might expand this a bit (different connection schemes), but only WD2793 will be supported.
Using a 486 PC, I sucessfully made a image of a "locked" disk, using ImageDisk from Dave Dunfield. And restored the image file to another disk just after.

The Brazilian Disk Drive Interfaces all use the WD2793, but most are I/O mapped, and some are memory mapped. I have both types, and I have HB-3600.
Do you need some test ? Let me know if I can help.
The tool that Wouter is developing runs on MSX only (no need for old PC's). The resulting files will be combined to a single dmk image on a PC.
Does your HB-3600 have 2 drives? (Current version needs 2 drives... but also that will probably be improved later.)
If you want to help testing, please join us on the openMSX irc channel, #openMSX on FreeNode.
Note that there have not been done any tests on 5.25" disk drives yet... so it may not work at all There is no support yet for I/O mapped interfaces, but that will not be too hard to add, Wouter told me.
Yes, the HB-3600 was developed/sold with 5.25"drives, but 3.5" drives can be attached to it, by just changing the cables, or using connector adapters.
It may took a while to setup the whole thing, but I surely will help.

Werner
I wandered what was exactly Galf Streem...now I know...and sure it was one of the toughest soft protection as Mars2000 said it
If someone has the original disk of Galf Streem, please speak up here
