@John Hassink,
so, the SCC can do this wave.
what I am talking is when is needed two channels to make one wave that the chip cant do in one channel.
the symptoms "in both columns always the same letter". with chords it is not same letter.

@grauw, art and style would be another point.
currently I struggle with a tech point.

@ hit9918: Okay. Sooooo... what's the problem exactly, then? Smile

Ok, so you basically are asking for instrument definitions that cover more than one SCC and/or PSG voice, in stead of the current 1:1 channel-voice mapping…

Is this really something you need though? Can’t you achieve the same with a bit of copy/pasting? It seems like it would make the UI a bunch more complex in what is already a tracker with fairly high level of complexity (judging by your earlier remarks). Plus in the end it gives you less flexibility, if you want to deviate from the pattern for a tiny section you’d need to un-combine the voices after all.

what is my point. let me tell in exaggerated way.
amiga stuff can be done on SCC.
and some things what gigahertz studio was used for can be done on OPLL.
why not make it on the MSX chip.

@grauw, yes copy and paste horray Smile
I was not asking for a tracker feature.

About the OPL. Can it do software ADSR? Then it can do the synthesizer thing better.

It can, but only with the customisable (software) voices. The hardware voices are hard coded and can not be modified (assuming that you're talking about the OPLL here).

You can just change the volume right? Like SCC instrument macros in Trilo Tracker. Presumably that works in the FM version as well…

@JohnHassink,
the question is whether the normal instruments can be made to make no ADSR. Just a constant tone.
And then make software ADSR with volume registers.
