Dear Forum,

Sorry for the beginner question.
just bought a WX computer. It is a nice computer but it only has 64kb of memory.
I found this manual for memory expansion of the wsx model:

http://www.msxarchive.nl/pub/msx/docs/hwmodsetc/msxa1wsxmemo...

The pcb of the wsx and wx look comparable.

I have two questions:

1
Can I use the same procedure for the WX?

2
Somebody gave me 2 memory chips with the follwing number: TMS44C256-10N.
Are these usable?

I want to be sure before I destroy something.

Why not to buy an external memory and connect it to one of the slots? Is that too expensive? Or maybe if you are willing to have something else, like a harddrive connection, a combo might be much suitable, if there are any.

An internal memory expansion is a nicer solution. And it seems really easy.
(256kb seems easy 512kb is looking like a higher risk and i only have 2 chips)

but coming back to my question will this work in the WX model?

Just go with the internal 512, if possible!
I used a guide that allows you to use a chip from a 72-pin edo ram module.
