I probably would, if I could only code something decent. Smile I'm actually quite amazed that there's no more entries for the #msxdev Compo.
We're working on an MSX1 game that uses some VDP tricks which work on every MSX, besides some bastard (Toshiba) machine which like 3 people in the world still own.
But hey, maybe that's the MSX spirit, that every software works with any hardware. Wink

A good msx'er can easily recognize nemesis as a msx1 game, due to :
- sprite flikering with low number of sprites
- monochrome hw sprites enemies
- blocky moving charater based sw sprites
- colour clash

it's needed about 2-3 min. of gaming to recognize this.

You are missing the point entirely.

In addition to missing my point, your points are all invalid:
- Lots of MSX2 games also have sprite flicker.
- Lots of MSX2 games also have monochrome enemy sprites.
- Lots of MSX2 games also have blocky scrolling or object movement.
- And finally, Nemesis 2 does not have easily recognisable colour clash anywhere.

You are also missing the point, and your point is also invalid as there exist several MSX2 games that do not, or barely, adjust the MSX1 palette of colours.

you've only seen msx1 games, and you think are msx2 ones ;-)

msx2 games that have flicker also have muticolor enemy. It's uncommon to see monochrome sprites on msx2. the only notable example is rastan saga. It does not have almost flicker and it does have monochrome sprites.
blocking scrolling is different from sw sprites that move in a blocky style.
I've not nearly mentioned the scrolling.
the games that have blocking moves are those with sw sprites, but the richness of colors in a single charater cell makes them recognizable istantly as msx2 games.
By contrast a msx1 game is easily recognizable by looking at the n. of color(s) in a single 8 pixel stripe.
