Thanks, but I've forgotten how much the postage rates from the Netherlands to UK are for 8Kg now. I seem to remember &euro'34 and €45. Perhaps the packing could push it over 10Kg, anyway. I've also been looking on www.marktplaats.nl , but it doesn't say when their auctions end.
I'm still not sure how much the postage would be if its over 10Kg. Unfortunately, my bid on a Pioneer PX7 is about to be successful, so I'll have less money than I would have had, and the problem of trying to find any alternative to cassette storage.
Yeah the front of the 8250 is very brittle. Actually this happened to the 8250 I sold, the front got chipped during transport and the buyer wasn’t too happy with that.
Well, the good news is that I've been outbid on the Pioneer PX7! The bad news is that my GAMOPAT MSX emulator on Raspberry Pi SD card seems to freeze after the MSX BASIC boot screen. More bad news is that I still don't know which MSX2 computer to buy and how much it may cost.
I have also good news, after some mailing I got the files and burn them on a eprom. And it works great, I notice that not all floppy drives work on the 8235. now I use a Chinon fz-357, it make nice reading noices
