https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_graphical_user_interface#MSX-View
If you guys have more infos or better screenshots, please contribute on the article too.

More infos and screenshots here : http://msxblue.com/manual/fsa1gt.htm

Note that 272 x 240 blueMSX screenshots can be resized 544 x 480 without any loss of quality.

More infos also here, but it's in French : http://msxfr.chez.com/msxviewp.html

There's also an unofficial English translation : http://www.msx.org/forum/msx-talk/software-and-gaming/msx-vi...

Try just the inverse way : take a 544 x 480 screenshot, resize it with PAINT as 272 x 240, then double the size of the resized screenshot. In some cases, there's loss of quality!

You could also add Ease (released by Philips and bundled with the Philips NMS 8245, if I remember correctly), which is much older. It was created by Opera Soft. See e.g. here: http://www.generation-msx.nl/software/opera-soft/ease/2566/
