I think these 2 games fit the categorie.
The one with the cat is very good i think for small children.
They have cartoonish graphics, but they are far from being games suitable for kids. I guess Masaxi was thinking about simple games, visually appealing and educative.
Yes...It would be interesting for developers to create something like that, since we would not need large action or multiscrolling,i guess we could have large sprites ignoring the limitations of screen 2 or color clash.
For msx2 for example we could have even larger sprites.
There are so many text scroll routines in the karoshi site (one that uses IM2 for example and is stunning). We could use all these neat tricks, with some large sprites, and large text on screen and do some educational purpose games.
What do you think?
How about another Simon Says ;p

That´s 100% right!
I mean games for LITTLE children, for children just few years old, games which are simple to learn and play, and death will NOT occur in 0-2 seconds if you make some sort of "mistake", like walking 1 pixel to "wrong" direction....
I understand, that many adult players may think such SIMPLE games as complete sh*t, but please keep in mind that I am kindly asking for making games which are made to OUR CHILDREN. (and I am sure that ****I**** will be playing them too!!)
Musically, it doesn´t have to be hard task, as if you don´t want to, there´s no reason to arrange all-new-never-heard-of-psg-killing-soundtrack, you are free to use nice and safe child´s nursery rhyme songs which are known all around the world. Or it doesn´t have to be known around the world, just that it has nice catchy melody which our children (and parent msx´ers too!) can start to humming all day long!!!!
Player and other hw/sw sprites can have expressions on their faces, if they get hurt, their faces turn sad or they start to cry, if you collect something special, player face will get SUPER-HAPPY for a moment etc...
Just try to imagine things from your childhood or what happened in silly animated children programmes, game could have animated background, just some sw/hw sprite clouds to sky, and clouds can rain smiling raindrops (those raindrops don´t have to be lethal to you, they are just water, remember?), there can be sunrises and sunsets every now and then and stars start to shine on the sky etc...... just imagine nice and safe things!
RNFF part 2?
Two great COLECOVISION porting wishes for Slotman:

Lady Bug

By the way, it would be nice, if you could add those missing animated "how-to-play" titlescreens to ports, Slotman! But I´ll be VERY HAPPY for straight ports too!!!!!!! :) We need more great Colecovision ports (with Shockwaring, of course!!;)), like your Montezuma´s Revenge port!!
