Gauntlet is a good choice, two simultaneous players and levels are loaded sequentially from tape.
River raid is cool too!
I spent tons of time playing that as a kid. Gets quite challenging as you progress through the levels.
Some of them were already mentioned, but the 30 MSX Hits collection (http://www.msxgamesworld.com/gamecard.php?id=3527) contains a lot of nice ones.
Also The Games Collection (http://www.generation-msx.nl/software/eurosoft/the-games-col...) had a lot of nice games (as well as a lot of mediocre ones...). It came on tape, disc and CD (the latter to be loaded to the cassette port via the headphone socket connection on your CD player).
I had Jack the Nipper 2 and Auf Wiedersehen Monty too, great games to just play and walk around the world, but I never understood what I was supposed to do. So make sure to read some tips or a manual for those games.
Speaking about Gremlin games, Trailblazer is a great little platformer as well.
Puzzle games: Eggerland Mystery.
Vampire by Codemasters is good.
Hobbit
Level 9 adventure games.
Magic Knight series.
Oh, WOW, what a hidden gem! Those psychedelics and that sound track
Just wondering what were they smoking when they made that game....
I know, right.
Actually, I always thought this was a reasonably well-known game, so I'm glad that I made you discover it.
is not a game but made smoking also : http://www.generation-msx.nl/software/llamasoft/psychedelia/...
Awesome! thanks to everyone for the suggestions. some fun looking games here!
Hi. Where can I download or buy casette with Auf Wiedersehen Monty? If no casette, disk/cartridge will go as well.
I also used to play to Livingstone Supongo https://www.generation-msx.nl/software/opera-soft/livingston... . I enjoyed jumping with the stick.
And I would like to mention Mr Chin https://www.generation-msx.nl/software/hal-laboratory/mr-chi... .
