PSW issue 88, a UK Playstation magazine, goes back in time to explore the history of Metal Gear. It shows a Sanyo MSX, with a Gradius II cart in it. (page 68) Also featured are some screenshots of Metal Gear and Metal Gear II: Solid Snake.

It also says that the MSX is, "By today's standards, as powerful as an Etch-a-Scetch."

No, it wasn't a compliment, really.

I loved that magic screen, maybe it isn't a compliment, but the comparison
could reveal somehow a bit of nostalgia for the toys he had when he was young

Well, we can also say that by yesterday's standards, most PS games are as funny as a washing machine.

As today, a PS2 is as powerful and good as a paperweight Big smile (And this is real, even the standards when it was released ^^ )
