Hello,
I am Mark and I am new to MSX computers. I have been an assembler programmer on different systems for a long time. Nowadays I am collecting old desktop computers with separate keyboards. That's (not only) why I picked up a working NMS 8250 with only minor problems:
- pc disk drive needs repair (albeit it had been inserted as an exchange for the original one)
- main keyboard keys need de-yellowing, light grey keys from numerical pad are ok though
- some deeper scratches in the front panel have to be fillered and touch up painted

This is where my question arises:

Has anybody an idea which automotive paint code matches this original metallic colour the best ?

I would like to attach 3 small pictures but I am only allowed to link them from other web space I don't use or like.
I could use Google-Photo. But often it is not working from experience made before. And I don't know why.

Regards from Germany
Mark

Sounds great and very reasonable :-) A Renault 19 was the very first car I had been driving just after my personal homecomputer era...
I have substantially more difficulties with understanding the Dutch language than the Dutch generally have with German language I admit :-(

For picture hosting you could visit www.msx.pics . It's worth it. People post great MSX related pics there and so can you.

And that language thing is a typical Dutch thing... We always think we need to adapt to the other langauge. Must be because we have to learn several languages at school and the countries around us take advantage of that knowledge...

Great idea, it works:

Is it also allowed for other retro computer related pics ?

Meanwhile the yellowish keycaps tone is completely gone. But it needed peroxide plus direct sunlight to get it going.

Stricktly spoken not. It can be deleted. But if your majority of uploads are MSX related some non-related pics might survive the evil moderators (amongst them: our own hamlet... who posted commodore pics recently Big smile and me, who won't delete if there's enough MSX material on that person's account, cuz well yeah... MSX is kinda in the site's name Wink )

You don't happen to know the colour code of the SX64 metallic paint ? Really, I mean it.
