Recently we reported about the last version of the ADX Player by the Japanese user Mstz80ax, a command line based tool being its main feature the addition of PCM and stereo output capability.
Have you ever wondered how Mstz80ax compose those amazing MSX tunes? Today the XEDTF editor, an MML (Music Macro Language) tool for MSX, has just been released. You can create your own compositions saving them with TXF file extension first (same as TXT) and compile as ADX format later.
It is important to mention that this is a free version with stereo OPLL and PSG sound sources only. A paid version with PCM support will be released soon. XEDTF needs MSX-DOS1/DOS2 and it is compatible with MSX2 and higher generations.
This music editor is already available in our database.
