@gdx, can't you use the game collection vol.2 to repair your disk? because I guess the screens will be the same only other texts.

It's not easy because it's screen2 graphics and I don't remember the items order nor the colors.

Oops, indeed... i should have read back a bit more.

BTW, just added the Sany Lightpen Graphics. I don't know how rare that is though. Still looking for the .ROM version.

@juanmi, are you sure because Puzzle9.64 is also released as takeru for 500 yen (http://blog-imgs-27.fc2.com/h/i/r/hiromsx/9562.jpg). But it could be possible that these two groups combined the games and sold them as one game.

Did someone ever play through South Town's Hero II to check whether it indeed only needs 1 disk?

I haven't played it much but its manual here says Disk A starts the opening demo and B directly starts the game so Disk A is essential, and cannot be Puzzle 9.64. It might have happened that a previous owner miswrote "South Town's Hero II Disk A" on the Puzzle 9.64 disk.

Apparently one can boot from disk B then? If the game requested A in-game, would it mean that it was completed and would load the end demo?

I bet you have pinpointed. WIN.BAS loaded after finishing a match has what looks to be the final boss's texts, line 2190 prints "Insert Disk A" and ENDING.BAS loaded at 2210 does not exist in Disk B. So Disk A must be necessary to see the ending.

OK, so disk A can be put on the undumped list.
