As Grauw mentioned, you can also do this with sofarun when using rom files. If you want to use real cartridges this won't work though and you'll have to use something like RegionSwap.

Take into account that this tool (probably) hasn't been tested a lot, so no guarantees! And you will need a MegaFlashRom to make it work. Quite likely it would work on a C2 too, but I don't have one myself to try it out.

Don't get your expectations up too much though. For MSX it's mostly the menu screen graphic for some Konami games that changes. I'd say it's more a gimmick than anything else.

Nope, for €340 I can get you an FS-A1F with built in PSU, 128kB RAM upgrade, Gotek installed and caps replaced and an FS-JS221 joypad. An FS-A1mk2, firmware removed and capacitors replaced with a FS-JS221 joypad would be €260.

Thanks for the offer but I'm watching a couple of Japanese auctions for Turbo R's. If that doesn't end up working out I might check back in if yours are still available.
