Many of our visitors enjoy playing MSX games on emulators or the real thing. So, time to ask some questions about which MSX games our visitors have been playing lately, so here are some questions

- Which MSX game did you play most recenly?
- Why that game?
- If you like, describe how it felt to play that game (again), what it reminded you of, what you think of the game now, compared to how you enjoyed the game in the past and any other info you can think of. (Of course, some of these questions don't apply to new games like Bombaman )

* I'm playing Ys II at the moment! I just reached Salmon's Palace.
* I'm playing it, because I found a patch for the English version, so now I can totally understand what the hell I'm doing! Great!
* Especially the music immediately struck me again, just like a long, long time ago. I still enjoy the game and it still beats the shit out of most "modern" games, in every possible way!

(My little brother is finally finishing SD-Snatcher by the way, years ago his userdisk broke and now he's up for it again, he's never beaten the game, the poor boy)

Why? Because it's really stupid... Addictive... and furthermore.. Simplicity itself.. don't need 3d grafs or FMV's

Furthermore I'd played Aleste 2 alot. But that's because my 'shoot em up' experience is really gone (quote from AvK).

So, I had to practice alittle bit to keep up with shooters like Zanac for PSX, Gradius Guiden (did I spell that right?) and Ikagaru (really cool game ya know?!)

On my list to play again shortly:
DragonSlayer 6 (in english). Finished the japanese version, but never got time to play the english version.
BigStrategy 2. Because it's cool.. Addictive.. And time consuming
Ikaru Shooter. Because this is weirdest game I ever played in my live... And strangly enough.. I'm good in it

I've been updating my arcadeskills too lately; playing the ultimate Salamander over and over again. When Salamander was released I played it 'till my fingers bled and at the end I could finish the game with 1 live a few times in a row. I knew the game's every little detail and secrets....

Now I even have trouble getting through the first planet again without dying atleast one time (which makes it harder to finish the game. the secret is to finish Salamander with just 1 ship!) . . . sight

Lately I have played PIPPOLS a lot. It is simple and addictive. I love the music and the colorful graphics.
And recently I discovered ANAZA - Kaleidoscope Special. It is an excellent shoot'em-up, with all the credits, the shops where you can buy more weapons, etc.

just finished Ys2. any more neat msx rpg's left to play? and dont tell me to play xak2 because how much i kill, i get no experience !

Crusader. It's a little game, where you controll a crusader (duh...) with a sword, jumping around, killing things, like skeletons, popping bubbles in the first level containing little snails. Each level it's getting harder and harder. When a level is done, you leave the level by grabbing an angel, a horse or a broom. I used to love this broom when i was young

anyway, afaik nor fmsxso nor openmsx can run this game. Bluemsx can however. For a few years I was wondering what it's music was again. And now I know tumdiedum dumtiedumdum... I love it

And it's addictive to.. kill 3d-scene needing radeon 9800XT's.. 2D is da shit

dude, how can u play xak 2, i tried playing many times but i never get any experience. of course i use an emulator but that shouldnt be a problem ?!

you prolly have the DSK versions with the copy-protection that prevents you from entering the church iirc
