The 4Kb version of the game 'Intruder' from Arturo Ragozini (ARTRAG) and Daniel Vik (dvik) has won the annual Mini Game Competition. Out of ten entries submitted for various computer systems like Commodore, VIC-20, NES, ZX Spectrum and the Fairchild Channel F, the MSX entry was voted the winner! Another moment of MSX glory, congratulations Arturo and Daniel!

thanks, but from the number of votes and of judgments I've the feeling that the interest in 8bit development is fading globally, not only in the msx word.

Perhaps we should make a rom version too.

As you command :-)
(what is the minimum size, a 8K rom? In this case we need to fill the spare 4K)

A 4KB ROM is possible in reality, but none currently exist for MSX, so ROM loaders and emulators might have trouble running it. Just make it 8KB and fill the rest with $FF Smile

I'm willing to make a new titlescreen and other gfx. Wink
I also know a certain guy who can make music. But then you'd be releasing 32kb ROM Tongue

I'm glad msx-o-mizer was useful to someone at least, good job Smile

Btw, you could have won 8 bytes by letting the packer embeds the depacker by itself (not that you need them direly in that case but...).

Yeah, another puzzle game. It seems like people feel it's the only way to make a game fit in the 1K, 2K, and 4K constraints.
It's pretty easy to make any kind of game I'd say, if you just apply yourself a little Smile
You have to keep the graphics and music to a minimum though.
