First ever MSX game?

Hi there,

I am wondering what the first ever released game on the MSX platform was? I would have thought ASCII would have produced the first ever MSX game (CrazyBullet, Warrior, Pairs...) in 1983 but found on MSX Mania web three titles apparently published in 1982:

Night Flight

SaurusLand

Star Blazer

Anyhow, I thought MSX started in 1983 so I am not sure of any of these 3 titles... any bets? I'm seeking this info for my March Game Review I am intending to make ...

The MSX standard was introduced in 1983, yes. So a 1982 MSX software title seem higly doubteble......Although I vagely remember stories about the first semi MSX compatible machines appeared in 1982? Something to do with Spectravideo or something? Anyone else with more updates on this?

Yes, SVI 318 and 328 were almost identical to MSX and were available in 1982 (81?). So I guess some software house probably ported some SVI software just by recompiling it on MSX.

It would not be too surprising if they didn't even bother changing the copyright date.

I remember I had the 'pair' cartridge,and it was so 'prehistoric' that you could 'list' the basic source code !!!

For sure this game was really one of the first ....

And much like the Coleco Vision adaptor, later there was one for playing MSX games.

The Microsoft Extended BASIC was almost the same.
