By the way, if someone also needs a plain 8250 with a dead battery, but otherwise working fine, let me know. You can have it for 5 euros.... But only if you will put it to good use Smile (I bought it to prevent it from being thrown away...)

What are the costs to replace the battery?
I have two NMS 8250, one with a dead battery like yours.

Should be pretty low... I don't know if the 8250 uses the same batteries as the 8245 does, but if it does; they still sell those as battery packs for cordless phones. IIRC the MSX uses only two, while the phones I'm talking about use three, but you can easily 'extract' them from the battery pack. If you have a soldering iron, you could prolly do this yourself in less than half an hour. Step one would be to have a look at the old batteries, then try to find something similar... If you can't find a suitable replacement for a normal price, you could also try replacing them with normal AA rechargeables (NiCd).
