Load ALESTE.DSk and launch it!

Hallo,

I've ALESTE2.DSK on the SD of MegaFlashRomScc+SD.
I've mounted it with the MAPDRV option of nextor on drive H
Aleste has no AUTOEXEC.BAT or similar in: it works at boot.
How to simulate the boot on the drive H where I mounted ALESTE?

Isn't this ALESTE2.DSK that brazilian hack to run a MegaROM game from disk on 64k MSX computers? If it is, it won't run on MegaFlashROM SCC because it relies on brazilian-made port-based disk controllers. And you can't see files (or at least an AUTOEXEC.BAT/BAS) because there's an special boot sector and once the game has started it reads raw data on disk. This was also an copy protection, because you can't copy a file that does not have a name (at least not using BASIC or MSX-DOS copy command)

Aleste 2 has three disks. You can load all three disks inside the MFRS+SD and simple reset the MSX. If your Aleste2.dsk contains the three disk images concatenated together, you can use something like runit to start the game.

Oh, that game!

In this case, I'm not sure. But on Sharksym's MMC-SD (and the brazilian clone) you map disk images on drive A (not H). The program you use to do it (DISKMAN.COM) offer you a hard and a soft reset after this, but that's not mandatory.

You have to do what Creepy said: load the three disks using /Dx option, or rename the files to .FD1, .FD2, .FD3 and load them from MultiMente. Then press RESET and the game will boot.

OK, done.
It works. I've tried selecting all 3 disk in MM and pressing return, but it flash only the first one.
Instead flashing them 1 by 1 it flash all disk.
Is it right?

PS: with Aleste my FM-PAC Friesland sounds with a very low volume. Any fixing suggestion?

i cant seem to get mine to load on my MFRSCC+512k ive tried to renaming, re-downloading, the only way i can get it to boot is to make 3 disks with fdload and use actual floppy disks. am i doing something incorrect? (using an HB-F1XDJ)

i lied the /Dx option is working, but why wont the .fd1... work, it makes the NEXT_DSK.dat i hold 1 or 2 to boot that disk and nothing happens... why is that?
