as my Amiga monitor broke I am thinking about buying a TFT (TV) with a scart input (I want to use the scart connector).
Does anyone have some recommendations?
Samsung Syncmaster 710MP, 17", 25ms (great for interlaced screens!), VGA, SCART, S-VHS, Composite & RF inputs. The TV set completes with a pair of integrated speakers and, of course, a tuner.
Not bad at all, it's hard to get good shades (being specially hard the damn red!) and usually the colors are a bit blurry even with SCART input. If you plan to have a lot of computers connected, the source changing is VERY slow; but hey, I'm a little picky, maybe you're not... :P
Sounds really good! But unfortunately it seems that they don't sell it any more (at least not in germany). The 711MP doesn't have all these connectors.
I use the Samsung Syncmaster 710MP, I use the SVHS input with my TurboR. It produces an excellent picture, Mr Robsy was very impressed when he visited my house sometime ago!
I also use it for my PC and my Playstation2 on the same monitor. I can strongly recomend it!
Currently I wonder, if a 16:9 (or 16:10) display would be even better for the MSX. In 512x212 screen modes the picture is so wide. On my normal 16:9 TV it looks quite cool.
After several tries I choosed a Thomson 20LB035B5 LCD-TV: http://www.symbos.de/files/lcdtv-4.jpg
It has Scart, S-Video, Antenna, Cinch, VGA, 800x600, PAL and NTSC, and a size of 20".
I am quite happy with it and the quality, it's just a little bit oversized (so it fits perfect to the TurboR ;) ).
