The answer is yes and no.
On MSX1, you don't have access to the graphical menus, but the BASIC extension can be used, because you go directly to BASIC.
Is that verified with a real cartridge on msx1? Because it didn't work for me (the commands were not available in msx1).
Probably the MSX1 part is not emulated in openMSX.
Edit: actually emulated, but difficult to test on an emulator. I've succeeded to use the PORT instructions on a Canon V-20 in openMSX, and it's important to use the correct syntax btw (there are parameters).
Do you mean you can actually do CALL HIKARI on msx1 or just do OUT /IN directly?
I don't have used IN/OUT instructions.
If the CALL PORT instructions work, the other ones should also work, but testing that on emulator is not easy, no matter you use MSX1 or MSX2.
You should try at least CALL OTO while there is some PSG music in the emulated machine. It's more easy than CALL HIKARI or CALL ONDO for the tests.

Of course, a 3D VHD is required!
So, I'm continuing here the discussion from the Nikko computer thread, because I feel this has nothing to do with the Nikko computer, but regards the Wiki.
Pentarou, you say I'm wrong in insinuating that it is easy to verify while I say myself that Arabic countries, Italy and Spain used PAL at 50hz and Brazil used PAL-M at 60Hz. So there must be something missing.
What? I wrote that the 7927A pinout is incomplete.
Why are you mentioning those countries at all?
Why didn't you just add what's missing in the wiki?
Because it seems that the wiki is owned by 2 people: One writes (without any proof) that the "Nikko" is NTSC then comes the other who writes (again without any proof) that the system is PAL.
I am lazy, and really not have the energy to read all 182 pages.
As the subject is 'Wiki editing discussion', I am only interested in 4 things:
1) How to add information
2) How to alter information
3) How to delete (incorrect) information
4) Person to contact in order to facilitate #1 to #3
Does this information take 182 pages? (Get real )

No need to read these pages to participate in the wiki.

1-3) It is by forging that one becomes a blacksmith (French proverb). When I started I didn't know much about how to do it. There are descriptions on Wikipedia. The wiki works almost the same way. It's just a bit simplified here. It was useful to create the tables and put images. For the rest, if you know how to use a raw text editor, you know how to change the wiki. If you don't can/want to read descriptions, post your info here. Do not do like Pentarou, saying only "You are wrong!". We all have a limited time.
4) You can do that here. Contrary to what Pentarou says, there are not only two people participating.
