Very cool! It still feels like dark magic to have a game like that at such frame-rate on an MSX1! haha
Bravo!
LOL. Not if Braingames can't avoid it!
Very impressive demo btw!
Is it possible to tilt the viewport a bit higher? I find it really hard to see what's coming up on the road because the camera sits so low to the ground.
@salutte
Greatings! This project is awesome! I eager to see how it goes on!
Thanks for the positive feedback!!

THis is a really good point, and I agree with you. However, It's not easy to find an angle that looks really great, as if I raise the angle more, the horizon will not be visible, but maybe this is a good point. I will also consider to simply reduce the size of the map so that more map is visible. I need to play with the viewport, but I completely agree that it needs an improvement!
When I look away for a while, people start doing black magic behind my back! Extremely cool stuff! I already know I will enjoy this game a lot. I've always enjoyed arcade car racing and this seems both technically impressive and fun to play. I already wait the day we can have a nice racing event with friends. Kudos!
It turned out that with the new math, I could change the viewport without much side effects! Can you give me feedback if you prefer the original one or the one 50% higher?
or the one with the viewport 50% higher:
Hei @NYYRIKKI, thanks for the nice words! We met last year at Nijmegen, my first MSX fair, and it was a blast! The community (and the architecture) is so inspiring that I just can't stop
