Just started to play, really great, a very nice adventure!

Small sugestion: How about some immunity after being hit? Sometimes you are hit continuously and lose your life in a moment.

Played yesterday at File-Hunter. Really good. Don't know if it is a webmsx issue or if it was intended but there was a continuous rhythmic noise, like a drumming or a typewriter. Anyway the game is good and Bitcaffe's music is evocative. I'll play again for sure

Hmm, strange! I do not hear the noises in webMSX (tried on Google chrome on my old work Macbook air)

@thegeps I just noticed the noises on webMSX, but not on the first or second time I played it there.

Excellent game, but I think I've discovered a pretty major bug. If you continue the game via password from the title screen, the controller no longer works! The game MUST be played via keyboard if you enter a password -- you can only use the controller if you start from the beginning.

Is this something you could fix for a new version release? I'm a controller-only gamer, typically, so not being able to use a controller feels like way too harsh a punishment for dying.

When the king dies, you, his brother, become the king.
But you are a betrayed king, without an army. Look for faithful companions to help you, if they have wings better
When the small map doesn't show anything but your location , it will be time to leave the valley.

Hey! Wanted to post an update regarding my bug report. The controller issue (where the game only responds to keyboard presses, not controller buttons) ONLY occurs if you enter a password from the title screen after first powering on the MSX. If you die and continue by pressing Enter, the controller works fine; similarly, if you die and enter a password after dying, the controller works fine. So the bug is a lot more minor than I thought, and I was just able to complete the game -- I got every item, found every dragon spirit, and escaped to lead my dragon army! Super awesome game, and the ability to ride dragons is a real game-changer -- it was a fun enough game before that, but as soon as that ability got unlocked, the game suddenly went to the next level of badass! Really, really enjoyable experience overall -- excellently done!

I wanted to report a couple other things too, though, if I may -- super minor stuff this time, but I feel it bears mentioning. Hope you don't take this as a criticism of your work, as I genuinely loved this game!

When you enter a cave that DOESN'T have an item in it, the game randomly chooses from one of several possible cave layouts. One of these has a stone staircase on the left side, leading to a big drop on the right side into a pit with a tree growing in it. If, for some reason, you decide to go over there (like I stupidly did once, despite there being literally no items or enemies in the room whatsoever and thus no reason to do anything but turn around and exit!) and you fall into the pit, you have two possible ways out: you can climb the tree (if you've found the item that lets you climb), or you can jump out through the stone steps on the left (if you've found the high-jump item).

If, however, you decide to climb the stone steps and drop into the pit early in the game, BEFORE you've found either of these items... yeah, that's a soft-lock. You have no way to either kill yourself or escape the room -- all you can do is reset.

If you update the game, I'd recommend adjusting this room layout so that can't happen, just in case somebody else is as much of an idiot as I was.

Also, the fact that empty caves load a random room every time you enter them... is a little strange to me. I mean, I know it's a sacred valley, and therefore the layouts of caves can change due to magic or some such thing, but when you can exit and re-enter a cave over and over again, and have it be totally different inside every time you do so, it kind of breaks immersion a bit IMHO. I think if there's a way to, say, maybe pick the room layout based on the overall X and Y map position of the cave entrance, therefore making it sufficiently "random" but also ensuring it's the same every time you enter that particular cave, that would be a nice subtle improvement to the game's overall atmosphere. That's really just a tiny tweak suggestion, though, and certainly not anything major by any means!

Finally, the true ending text contains the line, "The people proclaim you as its true king." The word "its" there COULD be referring to the sacred valley, which was mentioned in the previous sentence, but it feels like it would be more natural to say, "The people proclaim you as their true king." Again, just a minor little tweak suggestion.

I think i'm stuck ..
I have recovered all the objects and, I believe, all the white dragons, but if I go up to the left and touch the white spirit, I always have the bad ending... I think there is still at least one white dragon in the second map, but I can't find the cave with the passage in the other map anymore ...

finally spent some time on this fine game
the password/code system seems quite broken
typing sensitivity is too high resulting in typing of double characters
sometimes it will allow me to type indefinitely like I am in a text editor
it is actually good to type in random passwords followed by a good one because one will end up with more stuff than collected
for example while trying to enter code CKCNJIAACC, and due to oversensitive keyboard on the main screen I ended up having to type it in several times. After finally entering the game I had ALL objects Unfortunately I still have no idea where to go to exit the cave.
I did fly to some upper left area where the brother's ghost was and a cave but that is not the exit
I was only left stuck there as one can't jump out of there
Anyone made a map ?
