Robertwilting is right. Not only would it be cool to see MSX appear on media like tweakers.net and GamesTM again, Edge and C't are the next frontiers.... lets go for it!
Er... you familiar with EDGE? Then you must know MSX (Metal Gear 2) appeared in the 'EDGE Presents Retro - The Guide To Classic Videogame Playing And Collecting'' special released in 2002.
Specific info:
Pages 20-21 have Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake in a 'Wish List' feature for collectors.
The text next to a screenshot and a picture of the front boxcover:
'Value UKP 100+
Platform: MSX-2
Version: Japanese
Original release: 1990
Developer/publisher: Konami
After the success of the first Metal Gear for MSX, Konami released an appalling game, Snake's Revenge, on the NES, linked to the series in name only. Kojima-sanput things right with this MSX-2 update in 1990 introducing the hallmarks of the series: crawling, radar and codec. This title is so rare it has never been seen on ebay (or so it's claimed).'
Note the article (actually the whole mag) in which this neat MSX mentioning appeared is mainly aimed at collector saddos (hence the ridiculous prices mentioned for the games/hardware listed in the magazine).
btw: EDGE is not the best gamesmagazine out there, they're usually very objective towards whatever they're hyping next . I occaisionally buy it because they sometimes have articles that are actually interesting (features on Neo-Geo, Treasure, Metel Gear series, etc).
Just to let you know .

As for Edge, just register on the rllmukforum and send a user called TM a private message. TM = Tony Mott, Edge's editor.
Also it was EDGE who put some attention to the amateur scene. (SONYC !)
Now if BAZIX will start selling these games. Then do a good press kit. And send it to C't. Do it the correct way with quality info and your allmost sure of getting in the magazine.
Didn't know about EDGE paying attention to SONYC and the amateur scene, I would be interested in seeing the relevant pages scanned. They did have something on F-Nano'2 in an issue I don't have. I only know this because of the 'x-years ago in EDGE'-page.
Wouldn't it be nicer to get MSX in relevant media? I mean C't isn't exactly famous for it's articles/news on old computers, isn't it?
I suddenly feel very strange about some bits of this challenge...
Yep for C't the best 2 options of this year are probally the launch of BAZIX and the release of the one chip MSX.
However C't does give occasional attention to other retro-scenes but not that much.
So all I have to say to the BAZIX crew make the best press kit you can when you start and mail it to the bigest press audience out there.
About relevant media.
Well if people really want a revival (and not about dreaming up the old days) then I seriously do believe that you need to let the people know.
For this you would need the more powerfull todays compurter magazines and that's were C't and Edge and games tm fit in.
Well unless you think of other ways to get much attention.
Like paying a insane ammount to get a full page coloured advert in De telegraaf.
Like some Firefox folks are aimeing at. ;-) http://www.tweakers.net/nieuws/35718
However for quality sources (free) you need quality news. So the launch of another amateur game or the fact that some old developper talks about it's roots won't be the big stuff.
Still some weird stuff might actually also work. I can think of something which was allready suggested befor on the msx mailinglist that would probally give you attention even if it was a amateur product.
btw: EDGE is not the best gamesmagazine out there
Ehm, it is.

Media where MSX got mentioned in relation to the release of the eZ80 Acclaim:
