A Gamebase for MSX?

One thing I noticed is that many older systems have large databases of Games which allow users to submit comments and reviews and which provide plenty of other information. I haven't seen one of these for the MSX, so I was thinking of starting a project to create one. I could use the list of games in Mbox as a base and build extra information in and add missing games.

I'd ideally like some help writing up descriptions and things of the various games and maybe would like some hosting here... Also if someone who knows PHP would be willing to help, that would be nice, as none of the "turnkey" solutions (Mambo, Drupal, PHPNuke, etc) are ideally suited for this sort of task.

it´s sad that there are not same "Can I please help your site somehow?" activity on msx game databases as there is on commodore 64 game databases.

there is a brazilian site with lots of info on MSX, this site accepts helpers and sidekicks. see the contact info

the site has many free software included and serves perfectly as a msx gamebase

thinlizzy - there are many South Brazilian sites I do like, rest assured . However, linking to websites that contain free downloads of copyrighted games, without permission of the publisher (thus: warez) is strictly prohibited at the MRC.

Maybe the solution is that YOU ALL there send correct answers and missing screenshots to Generation MSX.

If everyone here sends even just one correction/addition and one screenshot per week, Generation MSX is soon really high-class MSX Database!

It´s that simple.

Co-operation is the word to keep MSX alive.

Don´t just keep complaining about sites which are "not as good as they should be", HELP THEM!

But maybe we all should forget Generation MSX and all other MSX databases which do exist and then forget our MSXs and MSX2s and upwards... We can break all our MSX-2-2+-R-whatever machines, as there are lots of spectrums and commodores to buy and they have good databases already and lots of people willing to help their databases be alive and kickin´ so we don´t need to bother to do something helpful!

Maybe this is best solution for us MSX´ers.

Didn't know there where many errors, but if you want to tell them I will fix it About the screenshots, it takes many time to take them and convert them, but soon members can upload them
