http://www.webalice.it/gnogni/

the package for http://www.webalice.it/gnogni/ OCM-PLD v3.2 RC2 (2013.02.14)
does not seems to contain any information on how to use it.

Does anyone have the documentation of the OCM in english?

Ok, figured out that the PLDLOAD.COM on the CD that comes with the one-chip-msx, (http://www.grauw.nl/blog/entry/385) can be used to update the FPGA firmware that is for download at
http://www.webalice.it/gnogni/. I copied the MSXDOS.COM, COMMAND.COM, PLDLOAD.COM and the .PLD files from KdL to a disk-image and used "PLDLOAD emsx_top.pld" to update the firmware over nowind.

The result is, that I now get a Turbo-R like boot-logo, and the knight-rider leds stopped (thank the heavens for that, they were making me nervous). What I don't understand is how to use the SDcard and what the meaning of the DIP -switches and LEDs is now (have their meaning changed ?)

Greetings,

Jan

Just download the http://www.webalice.it/gnogni/ocm/20110709%20OCM-PLD%20Pack%20v3.1%20by%20KdL.rar

In the folder \ocm-pld v3.1\esemsx3\docs\ you'll find dip-sw user manual v3.1.pdf that will explain the dip switches.

Thanks luppie, I found it, the docs are missing in the latest update, I did not think to download older versions Smile

I think KdL never distributes the full package as a Beta or RC version.
Only the Final versions have all the tools & docs.

Just a tip, if you want to put a BIOS on your SD. You have to format your SD and put the BIOS file as the first file on the SD, otherwise the OCM won't use it.

Ok, that is good to know!
Does it have to have a specific name or does it look for a signature in the file?
Also, is there any way to use a *.dsk image on the SDcard as a disk?

Greetings,

Jan

Send KdL an email to request : OCM-SDBIOS Pack v1.3 by KdL (2011.12.19) with MSX3 Logo
He will send you a private link to the BIOS, just unpack and copy it to your empty SD-card.

For loading diskimages you can use ep.com it's also in the 3.1 package.

Ah, that's nice.
I haven't quite got it working, I use ep foo.dsk b:
and the manual says use kana and graph keys, what keys are those on a PS/2 keyboard?

Actually I would like to set
0: disk1.dsk
1: disk2.dsk
2: disk3.dsk
4: disk4.dsk

And set each to A: an runtime, how can I do that?

Hi
I somehow managed to have an OCM where I can not run MSX catrifges (with no SD inserted)
Also KDL website links to PDL are not working

Is there a way someone could point me to a stable PDL version I could download and also PLDLOAD?
