You can ask me for details. The design is quite old and not supported any more but i can find bits here and there. A newer signle-chip solution exists, by the way.
Actually, i have the single existing prototype, but when i got that, it was rom-less
The only problem with beer it's slow. It does work with DOS2 in another slot.
Sorry if I mislead you.
Now, i details.
1. 'Original' Novatec IDE exists only as a single prototype, no ROM installed on board (lost somewhere probably 10 years ago). Of course it doesn't work.
2. 'Single chip version' actually has 2 chips - 128K flash and Altera 7064 to host everything else. Design supports also 128K of RAM for buffers but supporting code was never written.
3. As of version 1.9 which supports FAT16 and large partitions, there is hprep for MSX. No idea what EXE file does, that's not mine program.
4. No idea what's the reason. Worked for me with either original DOS2 cartridge or patched DOS2 in a separate memory mapper. Maybe slot order of beeride/dos2 is critical.
