Bump . Hey guys we over at NBGO need some help . The audio that plays during the truth ending on the msx in mgsv has changed since last update . This should be big . Please help us figure out what's going on .

Should have posted the download link to the extracted audio which was UPDATED, lad.

Edit: They didn't "update" the sound, rather replaced it with this new one. Both versions are still in the game files for purposes unknown, but this newer one is now being used.
Indeed it sounds different. Now it really sounds like an MSX tape (not PC-6001)
I hope GameFreak or other can extract clean audio from that scene (^_^)
edit: my bad.

I've grown listening to tapes load on my MSX. If that's not MSX, then it sounds very, very similar.
Hahahaha! This time they did it right XD
It seems to be the header of Metal Gear ROM.

Hi! I'm the one that ripped the above-linked WAV files from the cutscene's audio data. Would you mind explaining how you figured that out? I've been unsuccessfully trying to use a few different wav->cas programs, but I know very little about MSX orPC-6001 files. I tried trimming more of the silent data around the real audio, but I've had no luck getting any conversion tools to work.
I can't get any cleaner audio unfortunately, this is ripped straight from the game assets as-is, not recorded during a gameplay session.
Well we can't get much out of this one because of the retarded background noise distorting everything.
We need the previous guy that handled the data tape extraction to re-extract the new data, apparently it was really a hassle and I even tried it myself to get a clean sound bite.
However Zebra did find where the new one is located
./Assets/tpp/demo/demo_stream/p61_000040.fsm
@TeamZebra. Try MSX Cas Tools. It will decode part/most of the tape. It can add some fake header bytes here and there, and some bits are wrong.
The data chunk contains the begining of Metal Gear ROM (Japanese)
So I think this just proves what was obvious: the next operation (OPERATION INTRUDE N313) is Metal Gear MSX.
BTW, Big Boss/whoever should have some kind of extra hardware in his computer in order to load the game (MegaFlashROM, ESE-RAM, etc... ) (^_^!)

Not to mention he's obviously using an illegal pirated version of the game
Talking about that, I've not seen so many tape versions of Metal Gear floating around (I mean, in the real world). That means they had some developpers working on creating this audio data from scratch...
By the way, is there a BLOAD-style header or something around the ROM data (like this could be read / used on a real MSX) ?
