I 'saved' the wav file to a real cassette and then I tried to load it on a real MSX but it's not working. It seems the pitch is a bit higher then normal ? not 1200 but 2400 ?
BDW: How can you load and save game data in Metal Gear ? Is this for version 1 or 2 ?
metal gear 1. you can save/load with f2/f3 IIRC.
ok ... where do you press F2 or F3 ? F2 gives weapon select and F3 Equipment select..
Not sure which function key it is, but tou have to be in an elevator in order to load/save, if I recall correctly.
oh, right. or did you have to pause (F1) first? I thought you could save anywhere but on loading would spawn in the last elevator visited or at "important doors" (the ones switching to a visibly different area)
....either way, it's been too long since I last played it, obviously.
F1-F4/F5.
When you look random data deep enough, you start to see things that are not there... Like that string "X,Y" repeats few times and that if you expect decoding to have single bit error, you can see "60HZ" as ASCIIZ string.

haha you are probably right about that
If not even NYYRIKKI can make sense of it I'm starting to suspect it's just some bogus data after a surprisingly valid header. Perhaps Konami just took a sample they found somewhere on the web, similar to the MSX version of Galaga appearing in The Avengers?
