Floppy drive is YE data?
Lower pcb:
Rf/videoaudio closeup:
The drive and videoprint looks the same as in yamaha models.
Power supply opened:
Cant you take a picture of the lower PCB under the RF/videoaudio block please?
Rf board aluminium enclosure legs are going throught that lower pcb and are twisted and soldered at the back side of that pcb. So wuold need desoldering to have that picture under rf. Under rf there is that vram expansion socket and in both sides of it there are those vram chips(2 total).
I would be happy to see this refurbished MSX. Do you intend to do it and make this famous VRAM cartridge?
It's a bit sad an MSX2 with only 64kB of VRAM. Especially a model like this.
Yes, i intend to do that vram pcb. In the auction pictures, there was password prompt shown, is that normal msx boot thing? I have not powered on this msx yet, and the bios battery has been disconnected, so not sure if there is any password prompt still.
I think this is the password set with SET PASSWORD. It should no longer be there removing the batteries.
You can bypass that password by pressing GRAPH+SELECT. Or something like that. It's been a long time since I needed that combo. But with the battery out of the way, I think the password is gone anyway.
