Bingo.
I thought that was the problem, but I didn't find any way to disable disk support.
you can find it on MSXPro website : http://msxpro.com/aplicativos.html
(direct link: http://msxpro.com/download/toque!.zip )
I also could not make debug mode work... Google Chrome version 39, on Windows 7 professional.
Yes, Debug Mode is not working yet. The key is there, but its still deactivated. Don't expect a full disassambler-like debugger any soon though. It will start with something much simpler...
Ok, but I still miss some machine configuration settings (like the URL switch you passed to disable DiskROM).
Guys,
Just uploaded a small release with some additions and bugfixes (version 0.91):
- 48K ROMs support
- Fixed a bug in loading of programs under MSX-DOS:
Now "Bold" runs quite reasonably, also "IO" (not so well). Many other programs under MSX-DOS where simply not being loaded correctly but are now.
Regards,
Peccin
Thank you for the 48KB support and further improvements!
Cool
Bold seems to run pretty well, only it seems the PSG needs some shaping.. (I also noticed that in Livingstone - the sound of the boomaring is off. blueMSX seems to have troubles with this as well, openMSX seems fine (to me)).
(If you want to check, but don't know how to play: press '1' to select boomerang, then press (+ hold) space.)
Something regarding ROM size - I tried to run a patched Gradius 2 (FRS) but that's (still) a no go (as I expected).
The size of this patched ROM is 136K. Quote from the instructions:
[...] The problem is: Most emulators require the game to have an exact size (multiple
of the page size of the megarom in question) to execute a ROM. Otherwise it
will not run the ROM correctly. You can fool such emulators by attaching an 8KB
dummy file to the end of original ROM before patching.
Keep it up!
Cheers!

Hum, that's interesting... Where can I get a copy of this patched ROM?

It's easy. Get a standard Gradius 2 ROM and apply the patch with Lunar IPS. :)

False info John, it's an XPC patch.. ;)
But the read-me inside the zip explains everything...
Version 0.92 released! Please go to http://webmsx.org
Guys, just released a new version. Now we have line accuracy!
Things should improve and sprite collisions should work better now.
IO now locks at the beginning, I don't know why yet.
Regards,
Peccin
On a roll here Peccin!
Regarding io, it doesn't lock here, but it refuses to run on 60hz. Most MSX1 machines have a VDP (TMS...) that isn't able to switch frequency (that's what the demo tries to do). io will boot if you set the emu to PAL/50hz before running it (no need to reset, just type 'io').
[edit] crap, I believe you're meaning it will lock up at the beginning of the 'bubbles' part.. Yes, does that here as well
[edit2] confirmed that it io runs properly using the Yamaha CX5MII/128 (= V9938 VDP) config in openMSX..
