@tfh Your monthly report is great. It is very interessting to see the trends in MSX gaming. Hope Konami will not realize that their older games are more fun to play then their new crap!

The Castle, that Game Builder (I think) adventure game? What would have caused that?
Isn't it the ASCII platformer?
Even then. I can't see what is even slightly nice about that game. Terrible graphics and horrific audio.
If it's that title, I've noticed it's a very nostalgic game to a lot of people in particularly the "Arabic" world where they also grew up with MSX. So maybe somebody mentioned it on Twitter, for instance.
Even if it has its flaws, I did somewhat enjoy the game back in the days too, but I wasn't very good at it.
I never really played that game a lot but I did play HAL (from MCM) a lot and that game reminded me of it. Perhaps HAL was inspired by The Castle.
It's The Castle by ASCII:

I added it about a month ago after a request from someone :)
The Castle (and Excellent Castle, the follow-up) were also HUGE in Brazil. Most brazilian users have fond memories of it.
