Does anyone have a working copy of the msx 1 game Knight Tyme ? I have downloaded a few versions and the all hang at startup (the intro pic gets scrambled and then the msx resets).

I got it on tape here, but I´m sure there is a copy out there. With which machine did you try to load the game? Did you checked the header?
I like the game, remember the day I bought it in a store in ´86. It was one of these value Mastertronic titles and I was surprised how good it was. Can´t get the music out of my head now.

I tried with openmsx, philips nms8250 msx 2 computer. Tried turbo r aswell with same result.
I found a cas version, but I'm want the .dsk version.

Do you have tried to press the LeftCtrl key when booting the computer with the DSK in drive A ?

This version also messes up the screen with CTRL pressed, but does work: http://www.planetemu.net/rom/msx-various-dsk/knight-tyme-198...
It's the version I used to make a statefile for Knight Tyme @ File-Hunter.com

No, I have not tried it, but coming to this discussion out of the blue I would bet it doesn't like expanded slot 0... Try to run it with some MSX1 emulation... they usually don't have this feature.

@Manuel: The cas version halts at the intro picture and doesn't run aswell. This is a nasty game

What MSX Machine did you use? I used openMSX 0.14 with a Toshiba-HX10 and then the CAS file works, but with the Philips VG8020 it didn't work.
