21st March 1985, CBS/SONY released the Magical Computer Music CD containing 17 tracks at the price of 3,200¥. The man behind the synthesized sounds was the Japanese composer Makoto Kurita, artistic name Magical Power Mako.
According the information found on the net, the most remarkable aspect of this CD was the equipment used for its creation, a Yamaha YIS503 MSX1 computer and a SFG-01 FM Sound Synthesizer Unit (YM2151・OPM). As seen on the main cover there are some other MSX items: the aforementioned models plus a Yamaha YK-01 keyboard and a red Sony HB-101 MSX1 computer.
As a bonus, it is worth mentioning that the 3 last tracks are not music, well strictly speaking they are for us, because they contain MSX data! The CD manual explained how to load them into our MSX computers connecting a CD player through the headphones jack and cassette port.
