Hi, i just received my SX-1 and want to test some MSX2+ DSK games.
I thought using EMUFILE.COM would work, but unfortunately to no avail, getting a 'This programm is for Nextor Only.' error
This is because the SX-1 is using the MSX-DOS version 2.31 kernel.
By renaming NEXTOR.SYS to MSXDOS.SYS i got Nextor to boot on the SX-1.

Is there a way to flash the Nextor Kernel in to the SX-1 ?, so i can use a Native Nextor with EMUFILE.COM... ?

Hi, you need to use the sdcreate.cmd in the Extra Pack and make sure the Nextor kernel (n34 variants) OCM-BIOS.DAT ends up on the SD card. This will be loaded by the software in the FPGA and then booted. You will then have the Nextor kernel (which will boot NEXTOR.SYS).

what do you mean by 'Nextor kernel (n34 variants)'... is it one of the versions below ?

What version of EMUFILE do i use with Nextor kernal 2.1.0... version 3/2019 or 2/2015 ?
Do i have to hold the '1' Key while the SX-1 is booting for the DSK image to load ?
NEXT_DSK.DAT is only 80k, is that normal ?

I would say there is no difference between the SX1 and SX1 mini+ except the mini has a different level of output on the VGA connector which needs to be corrected in the firmware.

I have SX-2 but I guess the answer (hopefully) is the same. I have a FINNISH/SWEDISH QWERTY keyboard. Is it possible to configure it somehow?
