Don't overwrite your INI-file!

I recommend to take the new INI file and merge your specific changes inside, but you can do it the other way if you want. The main (only ?) change in SR.INI is the introduction of the new "internal" SMS file type and association with .SG and .SMS.

Note that in the SROM.INI file a breaking change has been introduced (renaming of the JoyMega section to Joy2Key).

Hi Edoz, I did not mention that clearly in the original post : you'll need a Playsoniq or Franky of course for the SMS games, but the SG-1000 games are working on any MSX machine, with sound (a good part of them are OK). Current issues are that "crash and noise" sounds are not always emulated, but maybe that could be fixed (I'll try to contact Tiny Yarou about that). You can always set the sound emulation to Franky to avoid that. Best settings for SG-1000 games are "MSX" for video (because the Franky / Playsoniq VDPs have a bad palette, and that can't be changed), and "Franky" or Playsoniq for Audio.

How do i use the new Sofarun, just copy the new files into the current Sofarun directory ?

Yes, but as I said earlier today, pay attention to your SR.INI-file. If you overwrite it, you will lose your own settings....

I just copied all the new files into the old sofarun directory, except the sr.ini file, i use the original ini from sofarun 6.0
No when i start Sofarun, i see the new logo, and sofaruns start in the a: drive, but if i want to swith to the e: drive (games) that doesnt work, the cursor goes to the app directory.

But when i exit sofarun, and go to the e:drive and start sofarun again, then i'm in the e:drive (games)

Thanks Hypersoft for the report. I added checks in SofaRun 7.0 to avoid going to drives that are not existent, that's probably the cause of your problem. Looks like going once to E: once marks it as available... I might remove that check for drive existence in SofaRun then. Waiting for that you could maybe fix it by adding some commands in your autoexec.bat to go to drive E (and then back to A)?

If you do not use the latest SR.INI file, you'll miss the functionnality to launch SG-1000 games, but the rest should work.

Yes, i will use the new sr.ini as well.
For now, i go back to the 6.0 version, and wait if there is gonna be a fix.

Less than 24h after I finally upgraded to the previous version, perfect timing! Waiting for the JoySNES to arrive so this is good news. Kudos!
