I've found one on mercari. Around E51. Decent price. Is mercari/buyee reliable? What I don't like is giving them direct access to grab money from PayPal or deduct from my credit card. Credit card is safer because that's easier to dispute. Has anyone got experience with these sites?

Don't know about mercari but I've used Buyee a lot and they never took any money that they should not have.

It's a weird way of doing busines though.
Like when you check out in a regular store and give your wallet to the cashier. No one would do that.

From what i've seen, the prices for MSX stuff on Buyee are always worse than what you'd find on eBay. The main difference is that there are more things listed there compared to eBay.

I found an FM-PAC for E51 euro's. Ebay currently has one for E161 euro. So that's a big difference. I used my creditcard. They have a better system and insurance. If I dispute a transaction I get my money and they will have to prove that I ordered something. Paypal is not that strict.

It's more along the lines of having a valet that pulls out your wallet and manages your cash - at least since eBay and Paypal were forced to separate.

Everyone with a Nintendo/Xbox or Playstation network account has the same construct. If you buy something, they will grab the money from the connected card or PayPal account. The difference is that Nintendo/Microsoft or Sony are know and somewhat "reliable" organisations, where these Japanese are to me: lesser known.

I once got a call from a creditcard company because an organisation had reserved an amount on my card, but that company didn't fit the profile, that belonged to my card. My appreciation for that creditcard company went +1.

Hi rolandve, right now due to covid-19 Japan Post prohibits export to almost all countries by airmail, as shown here. Remaining options are slow and unreliable surface mail and costly private carriers. Did you hear that explanation?
