Spanish translation of Emerald Dragon

The Japanese MSX2 game Emerald Dragon has been translated into Spanish. The patch is available for download.

Back in 1990, Japanese software house Glodia released their title Emerald Dragon for MSX2 computers. This Role Playing Game (RPG) with MSX-MUSIC and PSG music was released on 5 2DD disks. As the game never shipped outside of Japan, no western translation was needed. It took 30 years of waiting, but here's the first one.

MRC user dan took on the job and translated it into his native language, Spanish. All Japanese in-game text has been translated, as well as the written prologue included as a .pdf file. There are 5 IPS patches; one for each disk of the game. A very nice job.

Dan opted to do an English version, but wasn't confident with his knowledge of the English language. However, with the right help he is happy to do an English translation after all. Who steps up?

DAN menudo puntazo te has marcado!! Un clásico que se resistía a ser traducido.
Podrías comentar así, por encima como lo has hecho? De manera rápida.

Aprovecho este hilo para felicitarte y decirte que gracias a esta traducción este juego está en mi lista para ser jugado. Yo juego desde diskette, ya llevo 3 pasados y estoy deseando ponerme!!!

Por otro lado, me gustaría y no entiendo como no se hizo en su día la versión en español del gran SNATCHER!!
Yo estuve mirando un poco y preguntando, pero no sé ni como empezar. Hay por ahí alguna página con los archivos de los textos traducidos al español, su offset y alguna información más pero no sé como empezar. Aprovechándome de lo que has conseguido, podrías indicarme como se podría empezar?? Gracias y cuando descanses de este gran currazo anímate y dime como se podría empezar!!

I wanted to say the individual crc of the 5 dsk before the application of the ips because I can not find myself there

with windows I use Arpoon Checksum 1.6 to get them

@jacs: django showed me the basics: tilemolester to tackle graphs, carachters, windhex to get the original texts... a big thank to django! also used hxd for translated text, and had to deal with memory positions, compressed texts... i guess each game has its own way...
