Effect

Transfers the specified file from cassette to Quick Disk.

The transferred files keep their original format: binary for binary files, ASCII for data files or BASIC files in ASCII text, tokenized for BASIC files in tokenized mode

Notes:

  • The Data Recorder support has been removed from the MSX Turbo R.
  • The transfer from tape to QuickDisk can fail with protected software

Syntax

CALL CASQD ("CAS:<Filename1>","QDn:<Filename2>")

All parameters are optional. Parameters can not end with a comma alone.

Parameters

<Filename1> is the name of the file to transfer from cassette. The format is limited to 6 characters without extension.

<Filename2> is the name for the file transferred on Quick Disk. The format is limited to 6 characters without extension.

<Filename1> and <Filename2> are optional, they need to be used together only if you want to change the original name of the file, without adding an extension.

If you don't want to change the file name, just enter CALL CASQD to transfer the first file found on the tape.

QD specifies the used Quick Disk device. Value n can vary between 0 and 7. By default, the loading will be made from Quick Disk device 0
