Kyocera is a Japanese company that released only one MSX1 computer reserved for the export, the Yashica YC-64. Yashica was a Japanese manufacturer of cameras that merged with Kyocera in October 1983.

Kyocera also manufactured the initial MSX2 computers for Philips, and the Philips subsidiary Phonola.

Lastly, Kyocera also manufactured a gate array chip (M60003A) used in the Philips NMS 8220, VG-8235/20 and NMS 8245. It can also be found on the PTC MSX PC card, based on the NMS 8245.
