The Sanyo MPC-27, a.k.a Wavy27, is a computer designed for graphic creation and animation, as it has a built-in lightpen interface, superimposer, image digitizer and includes graphic tools on disk. It was first shown to the public at the Japan Electronics Show '85 (Oct 17-22).

It seems to be very rare and until we can have more precise information, it can be viewed as a special version of the MPC-25, at least from its appearance: white color, separate keyboard, only one cartridge slot, one 1DD disk drive and the location to possibly add a second disk drive.

This model has been localised for the European market with more RAM and a second cartridge slot, but without the lightpen interface - see Philips NMS 8280.
