Description
Sony HB-F1XD is an improvement of the HB-F1II. It is a similar model with a floppy disk drive and the power supply inside, and an extra keypad.
The keyboard is quite complete with special keys. There is a hardware PAUSE-button which hangs the computer when pressed. The SPEED-CONTROLLER slider (slow-motion) and the REN-SHA-TURBO slider (auto-fire for both joysticks and spacebar) are nice features for playing games.
Sony HB-F1XD was available in black and red on the floppy disk drive. It was aimed at the Japanese market.
Sony Japan ran a promotion from 1988-02-21 to 1988-04-20 where if you purchased a HB-F1XD, HBD-F1 or HBD-20W you got the F1 Tool Disk (F1ツールディスク).
