The HBD-100 is a single sided 360kB 3.5" floppy disk drive, designed by Sony in 1984 for the HB-701 computer, allowing to transform it into a HB-701FD computer.

The controller installed in the FDD is MB8847 (NMOS 4-bit single-chip microprocessor). The installed drive is the Sony MFD-33V (1DD), also used in the external FDD unit HBD-50.

The instructions for the montage are inside the HB-701 machine. The integrated interface includes a ROM with version 1 of the Disk BASIC instructions.

An improved version of HItBit Art is provided with this drive. The same disk was included in the HB-701FD package.
