Description
The Triton Quick Disk Drive is a product released by the British company Radofin Electronics and manufactured in Hong Kong. It can be used on different home computers (Commodore 64, Dragon 64, Mattel Aquarius, MSX and ZX Spectrum). This compatibility is achieved by means of an operating system stored on an EPROM on an external controller that comes included in the package.
The interface needs to be inserted in a cartridge slot. The drive comes from Mitsumi Electric Corporation that developed and sold its QD drives only as OEM (original equipment manufacturer).
The interface has its own 2kB SRAM and a 8kB ROM with version 1.1 of QuickDisk BASIC.
This device was also sold in Spain by the Dynadata company.
Official price in UK: £119.95
